Supporting the vaccine roll out

To say the vaccine roll out is in full flow would be a slight overstatement but with over 700,000 people now vaccinated in the UK at the time of writing it’s encouraging that we’ve at least made a start.

I spent the last 2 days volunteering alongside with the wonderful NHS nurses and doctors at Leicester Racecourse - 1 of 5 vaccine roll out centres set up in Leicester.

It was great to see an army of other volunteers on hand helping to man car parks, marshal people through the “checkpoints” and generally taking care of other tasks which allowed the medical staff to focus on administering the vaccine. I’m looking forward to continuing to support the roll out at the various sites across the city in the coming weeks and months.
